Mark J. Toth,
U.S. Kobudo Club Dojo-cho
GWNBF-KJJR Instructor

Mr. Toth began his study of traditional Japanese martial arts (or kobudo) in 1993 under the direction of Michael Coleman, kyoshi (master instructor) and shibu-cho (regional director). He has attained the rank of Ni-dan (2nd degree "black belt") in Genbukan Taijutsu and KJJR Jujutsu, Go-kyu in Ninpo Bikenjutsu (secret sword), and Chu-kyu in Ninpo Bojutsu (6 ft and 3 ft staff).

Mr. Toth is co-founder and head instructor of U.S. Kobudo Club, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Toth holds the title of dojo-cho ("school chief") and, as such, is a certified representative and instructor for the Genbukan World Ninpo Bugei Federation and Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei, international organizations based in Japan, Shoto Tanemura, soke (grandmaster) and kan-cho (organization president).

Professionally, Mr. Toth has been involved in administration within higher education since 1992, and currently serves as Assistant Dean for Student Services at the College of Law, Drexel University (Philadelphia).

 

Andrew Jacob,

Mr. Jacob has attained the rank of Sho-dan (1st degree "black belt") in KJJR Jujutsu. He heads the Kobudo Club training group at University of Minnesota (Minneapolis).

 

Jeremy Matus,
U.S. Kobudo Club Group Leader
Assistant Instructor

Mr. Matus has the distinction of being one of the original student-members of Kobudo Club, first introduced at Marquette University in 2002, and the first member to complete the nine kyu levels and pass the test for Sho-dan (1st degree "black belt") in KJJR Jujutsu. Also, he has attained the ranks of Kyu-kyu in Genbukan Taijutsu and Hachi-kyu in Ninpo Bikenjutsu. Mr. Matus heads the Kobudo Club training group at Marquette University (Milwaukee).
